Synopsis

A writer and his wife live a good life in the beautiful American countryside, along with their two spirited young boys. A looming financial hardship soon rears its ugly head, sending this picture perfect family crashing face first into harsh reality as they lose everything. In a financial bind and desperate for work, the writer and his wife are forced to move into the inner city where employment awaits, uprooting their privileged young children from the lives they've always known.

We soon follow the family from life in the scenic country, into an unwelcoming concrete jungle: The harsh and ugly inner city. The un-assuming country children come to a rude awakening as local bullies waste no time pouncing on them, taking great pleasure in the torment and ridicule of their new favorite targets. The classic challenge of the bully vs. the underdog presents itself, carrying through with the adventurous wonder of a child's perspective, while delivering a positive moral message throughout the story.
