Vulcan's
By Dennis Cox Vulcan's is the story of how a 23-year-old College geek from Milwaukee with a used lap-top computer and a rookie Internet reporter discover one of greatest conspiracies of the 21st century and their struggle to live long enough to get the story out. SynopsisOur film begins in the rubble having been left behind by a major explosion. A series of buildings have been demolished and rescue workers are at the site trying to find survivors and securing the area. Unbeknownst to the world at large, a Ryder rental truck is discovered at the site and inside they find $200 million dollars in Gold bullion. Upon recovering the truck, this information goes to the highest offices in the federal Government. The FBI steps in on the investigation. Suddenly all the media is kept at bay and all the security tapes from surrounding security cameras are confiscated. This takes us to the bedroom of Jared Fischer; a college dropout with a penchant for conspiracies of all types and fashions. Jared is still convinced that there was a Kennedy Conspiracy and that there are aliens being kept at Area 52. Jared is glued to the computer monitor watching the tragedy of the rubble unfold before him. He notices a few things out of the usual but doesn't really give them any attention. One of the things that he does do is email constantly sharing his opinions with a few online reporters. One in particular Sherry Garcia, is a political pundit who's always critical of the Government. Jared writes to the publication and they share kinship in their desire to uncover conspiracies, most of which turn out to be bogus but this time they land right in the middle of something that is far bigger than anyone could ever have anticipated. Jared arranges for a face-to-face meeting with Sherry and at the first meeting Sherry is turned off by this guy who looks like he stepped right out of the 60's. She blows him off but he keeps plugging away at his laptop online digging up more and more information on the explosion. Since none of her editors at the online publication where she works gives her the time of day, Sherry reluctantly turns to Jared and the two embark on a major chase to find out the cause of the explosion. Soon Sherry starts getting pressure to ease off her reporting, according to her editors, "it is inflammatory and insensitive to the survivors" but she knows deep down that there is much more to it. At the same time Jared starts finding unusual instances of spy software embedded in his computer and he saves his files onto a hard drive. In the days that follow both of them find that they are being followed and their movements tracked. They soon discover that they are in the middle of a major conspiracy that involves the theft of over 190 billion dollars in Gold Bullion, The US Government, the military complex and a wealthy businessman. If they are not careful they could very well be the next victims if they don't get the story out in time. There lives will depend on getting the information out to the public before they are caught.
