Prayer for the Damned

By Art Camacho, John Alfieri, Dennis Cox

Prayer for the damned is a revenge drama along the lines of "The Punisher" "Unforgiven" "Desperado" and "Death Wish", inspired by a true story of a Cardinal who was brutally assassinated in Mexico.

Synopsis

It is the story of a Drug runner who finds God in prison and ends up being brutalized by the same people he worked for. He's buried alive and survives and sets out on a quest for revenge. Emilio Cortez was a tragic figure who grew up in the streets of Mexico as a Drug runner for the Garcia Cartel. He ended up in one of Mexico's most notorious prisons in the "Hole". In the dark recesses of that forsaken place he found God, and upon his release he went back to the streets he once haunted but this time as a Servant of the Lord.

"For whom better to lead the sinners towards redemption than a redeemed sinner himself who had walked in their shoes and suffered their burdens."

Back on the streets Father Emilio Cortez was making things very difficult for the Garcia Cartel by interfering in their drug empire. He was having an effect by helping keep the pressure on them. In Mexico they celebrate the "Dia de los Muertos", the Day of the Dead, or as it is commonly known "Halloween", with Prayer and reverie, honoring the dead. Tony Garcia and is brothers chose this night to do the unthinkable.

"...and The Lord Jesus took the twelve aside and told them, we are going up to Jerusalem and everything that is written by the prophets about the son of Man will be fulfilled."

They found Cortez, tortured him, and buried him alive. As his bloodied and beaten body lay near death in the coffin a part of him died and what survived was no longer a man of the cloth but a tortured soul bent on revenge torn between heaven and hell. Tony Garcia's first mistake was to defile a church and torture a priest. His second mistake was to let him live…. Cortez' return set the Garcia's Cartel and himself on a collision course to hell…And there ain't a Prayer in hell…for the Damned…

When a Man of God has lost his Soul, May God have mercy on those who cross his path…
