"Crash meets the Border"
Minuteman is a story of one night that changes the lives of several disparate groups of people on the Border. It is about how one mans search for relevance and another's obsession with Patriotism collides and the line between good and evil will is crossed.

Synopsis

ANTHONY DOUGLAS is a successful engineer with a major firm. He's your typical white- collar worker who is pretty content with his life that is until he loses his job when his company closes down because of outsourcing. This begins his downward spiral as his whole life is turned upside down. JOAQUIN BARRERA is Mexican/American Border guard. Though he was born and raised in Laredo Texas from Mexican Parents he hates Illegal Aliens or "Wetbacks" as he calls them. He grew up speaking Spanish and quickly learned that he had to learn English and be an 'American" in order to make it in this world. PEPE FUENTES is a 'Coyote" a transporter of Illegal aliens across the border. Though born and raised in Mexico, Fuentes speaks English fluently and is more American than he is Mexican. Transporting Illegal's across the border is just a job and nothing else; it puts food on his table. CARMEN GARCIA-DOYLE is the Immigrant Mayor of this town. She's a bright star in local politics, though she speaks of change and hope, she nevertheless uses all her charm and charisma to suppress the local immigrant population while appearing to be "one of them". CHRISTINA and JUAN BRAVO are a Mexican couple who, after having endured several hardships due to the lack of employment in Mexico decide to take the risk and cross over the border illegally in search of a better life. BRUCE ANDREWS is a founding member of the group "American Patriots", whose goal it is to stem illegal immigration. He's been known as a froth-mouthed racist agitator for his stances and his actions against illegal immigrants.

Douglas loses everything from his house to his new car and blames his misfortune on Illegal aliens. He reasons that "if we had better border control we wouldn't be in this mess" Douglas learns about Andrew's movement and leaves everything behind to join him. He soon runs into an assortment of characters, from fellow Patriots of whom some are so ideologically opposed to immigrants and racist, to disillusioned Border patrol cops who continually arrest and re arrest the same illegal's crossing the border; from the coyotes who'll do anything to get illegal's across and the illegal aliens themselves whom each have reasons to cross the border and he sees the dark side of this struggle as he runs into drug runners from Mexico who'll stop at nothing to get their drugs across the border. Douglas will soon learn that the only thing that binds all of us together will be found at the end of a bullet.
